These games have decent stories along with good game play. The Professor Layton series, I'm told, are also good. You just have to read all the reviews in order to find them.By the way, I'm in my 60s (can't get more "mature" than that! :(But a few games actually do have long and interesting storylines.
Depends on your definition of Mature.you mean by difficulty and story.the Zelda games are awesome, so are the Dragon Quest games (tons of gameplay! If you mean content..you're shopping on the wrong handheld. It's true a great many of the games are more game than story, and most gamers prefer game over story. Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft all have a strict policy against licensing games with this ESRB rating on their systems. well just off the top of my head there is Resident Evil: Deadly Silence (an enhanced port of the first RE), Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, Touch the Dead, and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey.
I tend to prefer good gameplay with an interesting story to go along with it.
I just finished "A Witch's Tale", which had a really good background story that you learned in pieces throughout the game. A lot of the "mature" games have - kill troll, win girl - or kill kill kill blood blood splatter splatter, car crash, car crash.........
