The idea flips the usual approach to dating: Normally you find yourself on a first date, and try to find some common ground through those typical questions: 'What films do you like? 'The Fellody app follows a similar formula: by dropping your playlists on to the app, Fellody will rate potential love interests, giving you a 'compatability' score, and also allows you to send a 'flirt' (similar to a Facebook 'poke'), while browsing your matches' tastes.
Sten Garmark, Director of platform at Spotify, said: 'Your taste in music is one of the most common topics of conversation when meeting someone, whether they are a date or just a new friend, and it’s hugely important to have compatible tastes.

Anyone connecting to Tinder can play song previews on people's lists of preferred tunes, but users' Spotify accounts need to be linked to the service to reveal common tastes in music.
The service, dubbed "Tinder featuring Spotify," is being rolled out in the 59 countries where Spotify is available.
The streaming music service says Tinder users can now share a personal anthem on their profiles and swipe to see who else has been listening to the new Ariana Grande album all day.
